While in law school, Jason was a judicial intern for Hon. Mary Ann Gunn. Jason was also a law clerk at the Niblock Law Firm throughout law school. Upon earning his law degree from the University of Arkansas, Jason accepted a job at the Niblock Law Firm where he remained employed as an attorney until deciding to start his own law firm in 2012.
Jason Gilbert was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Dwight and Sally Gilbert in 1979. Jason and his family moved to Mountain View, Arkansas, in 1983. Jason attended elementary school, junior high, and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1998. Jason’s parents continued their work in the education/coaching fields until their retirement.
In May of 2009, Jason married Kalie (McConnell) Gilbert in Fayetteville. She was born and raised in Fayetteville and graduated from Fayetteville High School and the University of Arkansas. Jason and Kalie welcomed their first child, Avery Olivia, into the world in August of 2011.
Education & Athletics
Jason graduated from Mountain View High School with a 4.0 grade point average and as Valedictorian of his class. He scored a 31 on the ACT test and had offers to attend college and play basketball at such institutions as Harvard University, Vanderbilt University and the United States Air Force Academy.
Athletically, Jason was a 3-time all-state selection as a basketball player at Mountain View High School. He earned a nomination as a McDonald’s All-American, AAU All-American, and played in the Arkansas Activities Association basketball all-star game following his senior year of high school. After high school, Jason accepted a full athletic scholarship to play basketball for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a two-year letterman at the U of A before transferring to Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where he was also a two-year letterman for the Missouri State Bears.
